Why no face?

I know it’s a little odd to keep posting around my face instead of just posting a normal picture. Sorry about that. I know it probably makes this feel stranger than it needs to.

I think I got used to hiding a little too well while I was away, and I’m not quite ready to be fully out there again yet. Not for any mysterious reason worth building suspense around. It just turns out that once you’ve been gone from your own life for a while, even small returns can feel weirdly loud.

That said, I had a quiet weekend, did some ordinary things, and showed up for them. I’m calling that enough.
